No longer made, but often available used, the Nikon FG
is a very compact, light body with good features (no
AF or built-in motor) like program exposure, TTL flash,
and a sharp viewfinder with easy to see metering (other
mfgrs, like Minolta and Olympus had similar bodies, but
the Nikon takes current lenses, including light AF ones).
Combined with a couple of E-Series Nikkors, an outfit
with two or three lenses can be very light and small.
An excellent-but-somewhat-heavier-and-bigger-and-simpler
body is the currently-made FM2n - all manual, no TTL flash.
