(Kinda hard to get through the "spamsux@hotmail.com" to
respond directly...)
As I mention in my review of the PC-1 (and others - on
my web page, under "I babble"...), turning off the
stabilizer will very noticeably improve the color of
the PC-1 (and some others) in certain light levels.
On camera "point-source" lights are VERY annoying,
and putting thin white-cloth covered hoops spaced
out in front of the light a few inches makes a nicer
light source, but it reduces the light level too much
for anything but close-ups - and it is awkward. Much
as I like the PC-1 (I have one), I would not choose
it for low-light situations. With the stabilizer off,
color is not bad until light is very low - and a small
side handle can help with holding the camcorder steady.
