Um, I did say "people" lens, not "person" lens...;-)
For close-in shooting of small groups, even couples
(not "close-up", as in frame-filling-with-a-head - for
those, of course a longer lens is preferable...;-), the
35mm is a good choice. BTW, I also went on to point out
the usefulness of the 85mm in the same post, but you
deleted that...
