You will find on my web page (under "I babble"...) a listing
of all Nikkor optical-types for the SLR's - and many are
evaluated. Be sure to read the paragraphs also...;-). Almost
all Nikkors ever made will fit and work on the F3, though
non-AI lenses require flipping up the AI tab on the body,
and holding in the DOF preview button while metering
(this can be done with AI lenses, also, and is arguably
a more accurate metering method, assuming that you
avoid allowing strong light to enter the eyepiece while
metering).
