Hmmm, as others have pointed out, it would make more sense to put
the money in good glass... For architectural work, it would be
hard to beat the combination of the F3 and 28mm perspective-control
lens (to which I would add a 20mm f2.8, or maybe something wider).
For travel, adding a 35-105 to the above keeps the outfit compact,
but adds useful longer FL's... (a compact 200mm f4 Nikkor and a
TC14A can fill out the long end compactly, if desired).
