Yes, as would unfiltered tungsten light or even
daylight...;-) If you don't care if the light source
is visible, any of the above will work... As for the
lens, it is unnecessary to add any filter at all, though
narrowing the spectrum increases a bit the IR effect,
for better or for worse...;-)
