use B&W mode to get rid of the "toothpaste green"
color (and I use an 87 IR filter + polarizer,
but a simple red filter is sufficient to see
the effect). I'm still annoyed with Sony for
removing daylight-IR shooting capability for the
silly reason that some people believed (incorrectly)
that it permitted "seeing through clothes"...
I still find the daylight IR mode useful (and more
interesting than shooting stills with infrared film).
