Try adding a moderate "presence peak" by
drooping response below 250 or so and above
6k or so, and adding a broad hump centered
around 3.5k. Keep the EQ smooth in overall
shape, and be carefull not to raise the
peaks into clipping (Cool Edit is great
also for getting a quick overview to see
if you have clipped the wave-form anywhere).
