You DO know he was joking, I trust...! ;-)
This is a problem, but I don't know a solution (I enter Nikon-specific
threads when I can shed, uh, some light... [from my fairly extensive
experience with Nikon gear] there, and general-catagory threads when
[I think...;-] I can [hmmm...] shed some light on the subjects there
[from my fairly extensive experience as a photographer and teacher]).
(I do also visit the other-brand specific threads when I think I
have something to add...)
But, while there are a lot of general-interest threads, a large
proportion of people do own, and are interested in matters relating
to, the two major 35mm camera brands (Nikon, and that other one...,
uh, [I think it starts with a "C"...;-])....;-). Occasionally there
are flurries of posts relating to Leica and Zeiss (those well-known
Japanese camera companies...;-), and some relating to the minor
brands ;-), ;-), ;-), Pentax, Minolta, etc... But if you think
Pentax is ignored, think how the proud owners of old Exacta's and
Topcon's feel! ;-) Well...,
Hope This Helps
