I was not happy with the 0630 for the PC-1, either (or the
.7X that came with the Panasonic EZ30U). Not zoom-through,
but a good WA on just about every camcorder I've tried it
on is the Sony ES06 .6X. Try different lens-converter
spacing with old filters - changing the spacing often
improves corner performance (and can widen the view). This
flat, light converter was made for the still Mavica, but
it comes with a bunch of thread-adapters (though I think
the smallest is 46mm...).
