-Ordinarily I would point someone with a Nikon body asking about a lens
straight to Nikkors (Why bother with generally poorer 3rd party lenses,
if you can afford new or used Nikkors? Nikon, BTW, has made excellent 55, 60, 105, and 200mm macros in both MF and AF versions [except the
60mm is AF only]). It may be that the 90-105mm lens is particularly
easy to make, but several excellent 3rd party lenses come to mind:
90mm Sigma, 90mm Vivitar Series I, 100mm (early) Vivitar Ser. I,
to name three that I found optically fine in the macro range.
