For full TTL flash (not fill-flash), press the "M" button to defeat
the auto-fill (the sun symbol should blink), and use no compensation
with most slide and color negative films - but use "+1" compensation
for B & W film. For TTL fill-flash, "-1" compensation for color negative,
"- 1 2/3" for color slide, and "-2/3" or so for B & W works well for me
(with the sun symbol blinking). I prefer not to use what I call
"roll-o'-th'-dice" Matrix metering for anything - I have no idea what
compensation is being added to the metering, which, for me, makes the
metering unreliable.
