Yes, the colors are the same - cp (rather than cc) filters
can be used to color the light without problems, but
should not be used between the lens and the subject (cc
filters are optically flat, cp filters aren't - and are
cheaper). Ilford used to offer a cheap set of cp filters
that were large enough to fit over the opal diffuser,
or over the flash head.
