Hoya single-coated filters...;-) I don't like the thick rims of the
Tiffen filters (and recently ran across, once again [!!], the tendency
of Tiffens to spontaneously fog...). In practical terms, the cheap
(metal-rim versions) single-coated Hoya filters are optically as
good as any, have rims as good as any, and will not degrade image
quality detectably under virtually all conditions (with a few lenses,
shooting straight at the sun, the slightly better transmission of
multi-coating MAY reduce reflections enough to notice...). If you
feel that you MUST spend more money, buy Nikkors...;-)
