Best for the price is usually a single-coated
metal-rimmed version of the Hoya, which should
cost FAR less than $25! Try www.bhphotovideo.com
BTW, multicoating offers very little advantage
(essentially none...) over single-coating,
is much harder to clean, and is more expensive.
I generally avoid Tiffen, if possible, since they
are often uncoated, are multi-layer "sandwiches",
often spontaneously fog, and have too-thick rims
for some purposes (but Tiffen does offer some
unusual filters that are cheaper than alternatives,
if they exist at all...).
