Hmmm, how did you miss the recent knock-em-down-drag-em-out to-do over
this....? ;-) But, to quote myself, "...in my experience, an inexpensive
Hoya multi-coated filter, for ALL *practical* purposes, is as good as is required for the most critical use (since there is NO discernable image sharpness degradation resulting from its use under most circumstances,
even very demanding ones, so there is nothing to be gained by spending
more money on another filter...). (BTW, in general order of rising price,
in US: Hoya, B&W, Nikkor [and I would personally avoid Tiffen, if possible,
since the rims are unusually deep {causing vignetting with some lenses},
and I find that they spontaneously fog in storage {an annoyance, to have
to clean a filter before use...}].) And I would expect the Contax filter
to be fully the equal of the Hoya...;-)
