Kodachrome of any age (even back to the early '40's, as I recall...),
holds up well in dark dry storage. The current E-6 films appear to be
better than older non-Kodachromes, and actually hold up better than
Kodachrome when projected a lot. Among the older non-Kodachrome films,
some brands appear to have lasted longer than others in storage. For
long-term storage (dark and dry...), B & W film and Kodachrome are the
ones to use.
