Mebbe I'm jes' grumpy this morning, but...;-)
If the footage is intended for TV-viewing, it will
look best shot interlaced (even if it were at 30fps);
if the footage is intended for computer-viewing, in
the process of compressing it reasonably efficient
deinterlacing can occur; if the footage is intended
for film transfer, shooting interlaced (for NTSC)
is the better choice; if for shooting "high-speed
motor-drive mode" for later grabbing of stills,
mebbe 15fps is OK relative to 30fps? "Film look"
is silly - simulating the flaws of another medium,
while not having its advantages gives you the worst
of both media... Video is video, and it has some
distinct advantages over film, so why not enjoy
those instead of wishing video were film?
