Uh, not very well for me - I hated field 4x5 work until I found the
super light Nagaoka (and similar - see Paul Bass's post). I would look
for a light wooden field camera (I like my current 5x7 Ikeda with 4x5 back a lot) that allows the rear standard to be moved forward on the
bed, and which has a flexible bellows, if you want to use a 90mm wide-
angle (some slight modification of the camera to allow infinity focus with rear tilt may be necessary - and I modified my camera so it would
accept the lens board inverted, which, with off-center mounting of the lens, permits greater than normal rise and fall with a wide-angle lens).
The Wista camera is beautiful, but not suitable for use with shifted
wide-angles, though it is fine for longer lenses. Watch out for rear
(and front) swing mechanisms - some allow play in the camera, even when
locked). The awkward looking rear swing mechanism on the Ikeda and similar cameras actually works well, and has no play.
Hope This Helps
