It can be done a couple of ways...
Fade to black:
- add a "cross-dissolve" transition to the
end of the clip on V1A or V1B
- put the clip on V2 or higher, open the
track, and adjust the "rubber band" to
fade the clip to black
Fade to white:
- add a white title strip to the other
(unused) of V1A or V1B in the first
case
- add a white title strip to the track
below the track used in the second
case
