Hmmm....
I seem to remember you are using the Raptor card.
If so, with Premiere 5.1a you need only start the
camcorder recording in VCR mode (with the FireWire
connection made), then hit the "enter" key (assuming
a complete clean preview rendering of the whole project
under the task bar in Premiere has been previously made).
The "export to tape" and "print to video" functions do not
work well (but are not needed...). An analogue-tape copy
can be made at the same time by connecting a VCR to
the DV-camcorder's analogue outputs.
