It would appear that the Sony editing software is essentially
assemble-edit only, without most of the tools for transitions,
effects, filters, etc. that would be part of any good NLE
software. If this is sufficient....;-) On the other side,
getting a bunch of components to operate smoothly as a
video-editing computer may be less than fun...;-) (BTW,
for a short time more, I have available a complete,
smooth-running DPS-Spark based mini-DV editing computer
available for $3600...;-)
