There is a short list of compatible video cards for using
the Win 98 dual-monitor feature - and unfortunately you
must use the Win 98 drivers for these cards. Two ATI cards
work well for me, though there are occasional redraw
problems. Very unfortunately, P-5.1 (unlike P-4.2...)
does not permit selecting "preview window on top while
scrubbing", which makes a 720x480 preview window kinda
useless without the second monitor (or a huge single
monitor...;-). The dual-monitor feature makes things
much easier (and the second monitor can be an inexpensive
15" one, set to 800x600, with the main monitor a 17"
set to 1024x768).
