Raptor works just fine with two monitors...
The "boot" monitor is the one that needs
to be used for the video overlay using
external hardware (camcorder, deck, or Sony
D-A/A-D box) for the real-time/full-size
preview window. The Raptor software
preview is nearly as good with a fast
processor, providing full-size/nearly-
real-time preview on my system (P-5.1a,
450MHz 300a OC'd Celeron, two 17" monitors
on 8-meg ATI cards [1024x768], Win 98) - I
place the 720x480 (single!!!) preview
window and the transitions box on the left
monitor, the timeline box full-width on the
right monitor, with the clip box and
widened navigator box tucked below. The
TV output is also used, since moving images
appear different on a TV (as does contrast/
color/etc. - it helps to have a "second
opinion" on image appearance while editing ;-).
