If you have room for two additional video drives, this makes
it easier to keep drives "clean" (by moving files around
rather than using the much more time-consuming defragmenting
utility). Keep the 8-gig for programs - but if you want to,
you can split it and use the other half for the preview
files (if your programs exceed 3-4 gigs total and you do
a lot of transitions/filters/effects, you may want to have
a larger C/F drive...).
