??? - FireWire DV data transfer rates are reasonably constant and
not excessively high for even some IDE drives... (the $330 IBM UDMA
IDE 8.4-gig Deskstar 8 drive seems to work well for capture/play even
when it is the same drive the programs are on... [using the Spark card])
- is your SCSI set up right?
