Go to the tools menu (upper left corner of the timeline),
hold the mouse over the "lasso" tool to reveal the
tools below, select the "double arrow" tool. Use it to
select everything on the timeline to its right and move
everything selected in either direction (bits left on the
timeline will stop its progress along the timeline, so
they must be removed in advance from tracks occupied by
the moved material).
