Some would quibble with this, but if you have a high-quality
sound card, simply connect the analogue audio outputs of
the camcorder to the sound card's analogue audio inputs, set
your WAV recorder software (you probably have SOMETHING on
your computer already, but if not, get Cool Edit 2000 from
www.syntrillium.com, an excellent program with wonderful
WAV editing capability at a low price) for 44KHz 16-bit
stereo, and record... The conversion will be accomplished,
and the results can be excellent.
