The TRV130 should have worked, unless none of these D8s
will play 8mm (Just Hi-8? I don't know...), or the alignment
was far off on the camera you recorded the tapes on. If
you can successfully play the tapes on D8 cameras, they
will output by FireWire to a computer; if you cannot
play the tapes in the new gear, but still can in the
old, you can play it analogue into many newer digital
cameras which will digitize it on the fly and send it
on to the computer by FireWire...
