And sound. I do this when I MUST have a good
recording (recording in both the main camera and in
a smaller, FireWire-attached camera, often using
the LCD screen of the small camera [interiors only,
placed for easy viewing] as a monitor...).

You would be using analogue connections (quite OK)
for this, unless you use a tiny DV camcorder up
front - BUT, some camcorders heat up excessively
if placed in an enclosure like a backpack...

I think there was also a Hi-8 model that had a
