The above may (or may not) be true in Canadian copyright law, but in
the U.S., unless you have specifically signed away your rights to the copyright protection of your photographs, you still own the rights to the photos even though someone else has posession of the negatives, transparencies, prints, etc. (YOU control the uses.)
