Ummm, if the Yahoo article was a review of the original poster's
site, and included a reproduction of a photograph from that site,
as I understand the Revised Copyright Law, it falls into the
catagory of "fair use", and does not require compensation...
BTW (as the poster noted), the copyright law does appear to have a
sticky-wicket aspect... - if you do not discover a misuse of your
work (and challenge it - and register the copyright on the work)
before three months has elapsed from the date of misuse, you cannot
recover damages or legal fees, just normal payment for the use...
(so it does not pay to persue the case beyond maybe small-claims
court, if the misuse was not found and the work registered before
three months passed after the date of misuse). Darn!
