Often excellent! This is where teleconverters shine - giving higher
magnification with high image quality in macro work (IF you use
f8-16 on the macro lens...). You can also combine converters,
achromats, and extension tubes on some lenses and still get
high-quality images. You can find examples on my web page,
under "Phun Fotoz", then "Bugs"...
