Though the Nikkor 80-200mm f2.8 zoom is excellent (and excellent
on the Nikon TC14/14B and TC14C converters, it is not particularly
good on the Nikon 2X converter that will fit it, the TC200/201. It is
somewhat better on the TC20E, but that converter must be
modified before it will fit. You can find a brief review of the TC20E
on my web page, under "I babble". (Anyone want one, modified,
mint in box, for $375? ;-) BTW, none of the Nikkor TC's will AF the
80-200mm f2.8, though the TC16A will itself AF over a short focus
range (the image quality is not as high as the 1.4X's, though...).
