You can find a frame-grab from the XL-1 with the Century
.7X in a Mini-DV camcorder comparison article on my web page
(look under "I babble"...;-) The lens on this particular sample
XL-1 did not appear as good as expected, and another
should arrive today or tomorrow and will be checked and the
results posted in the web article if different. The lens was
also wide open. Given those things, the considerable edge
and corner color-fringing seen is not surprising. The XL-1
lens is large in diameter, making it hard to design and
make light, good, and cheap converters for it.
