One example of this was evident with two Rollei 35's I had - one with
an f3.5 Schneider Xenar (4-element Tessar-type lens), the other with the
f2.8 (5-element) Zeiss Sonnar. While the resolution (especially near the
edges and corners) of the Sonnar was greater, slides taken with the
Xenar looked sharper ("snappier", "crisper". "livelier", etc.).
