Uh, have you seen dupes?! I am still waiting for good ones
(the color/contrast can be excellent, but sharpness is
always degraded, and is never [in my experience] above that
originally produced by a very mediocre taking lens). And, if
you are submitting a bunch of slides on speculation, duping
everything can really up the expenses (and they poorly
represent your work). It is the responsibility of those
reviewing/reproducing your work to return your work in
reuseable condition, otherwise a $600-$2000 per ruined
slide (unintended) purchase is in order, since the potential
income from the slide is gone (unless it is ecomonically
practical to recover useability, or you have very similar
in-camera dupes available).
