Well, yes, of course.... - I was assuming that one would realize that
in manual mode, nothing is automatically (as in "Manual"...;-) changed
but the meter reading, necessitating the changing of either the shutter
speed or the aperture to recenter the meter after compensation.
I guess one has to give ALL the nitty-gritty details.....;-)

(Here is the entire related part of the post, which seemed kinda clear
to me....;-):

Perhaps I should have added, "to keep the exposure constant" at the
end of the first sentence......
