Hi--

Yes, and Ithaca area especially...! ;-) Lotsa waterfalls, glens, etc....

My opinions having tried these...
Easiest zooms to control VX-2000, EZ-30U; nicest-carrying/handling EZ30U,
maybe GL-1, PC-1; best color VX-2000, 30U; best sharpness at infinity VX-2000, EZ30U, VX-1000, TRV-900; best sharpness at "room" distances VX-2000,
VX-1000, maybe GL-1; least picture negative artifacts VX-1000, VX-2000, TRV-900 (worst GL-1 - it was REALLY bad for vertical stair-stepping, vertical
moire patterns, excess edge sharpening ["halo"]); smoothest "grain" in
good room light VX-2000, XL-1, TRV-900, GL-1, 30U, VX-1000; best in low-light
"reach" VX-2000, TRV-900 (worst 30U); best camera-mic sound XL-1, VX-2000,
30U (worst GL-1); etc...........;-)
Over all favorite (NOT PERFECT...! ;-) VX-2000 (but not fun to carry,
and also to get steady long-end images with), next VX-1000, next 30U
and TRV-900 (but I sold my TRV-900 and kept the 30U longer...); least
favorite GL-1 (did not like image and sound, kinda basic things!;-) and
XL-1 (talk about poor lens controls! and only so-so image quality and poor
auto features operation - really inexcusable, and odd that so many like it
[I tried two samples...]). So..... ;-)
Prolly told you, but I have 30U, PC-1, VX-1000 to sell... (too many
camcorders - cutting down to two VX-2000s, may keep one VX-1000, may
keep 30U for good portable, or wait for a smaller Sony 3-chip (never
quite got comfortable with 900, for some reason, though sound and
picture were good (not best). Ah, well...
