You should import graphics preferably as multiples
of 640x480 (NTSC) in order to maintain the proportions
of the image (try importing a circle on a 720 x480
background, and another on a 640x480 background, then
export to tape and watch on a TV - the 720 image will
not look correct...;-). As for your question, DV is not
kind to keying, and titles can look bad over motion-video.
Using fonts with curves helps with flicker, as does selecting
"flicker-removal". Adding a 4-way thin shadow helps
some with keying, as does careful color selection
for the type. Slight blurring helps (some of these were
suggested by another poster...). Best solution I've seen:
using CG Infinity (comes with MS-Pro...) to import the
motion-video clip into the titler; next best: using
Inscriber - but, I've also been able to get smooth-looking
moving titles, crawls, etc. generating text in a graphics
program, or in Premiere (if you can figure out how...;-),
by experimenting with the things suggested above...
It takes a bit of trial-and-error to get clean-looking
titles with DV, especially if keyed over motion-video...
