Are you outputting DV-AVI back to tape in the
Mini-DV/D-8/DVCam camera via FireWire? If so,
select Canopus Raptor codec, about the best
and fastest around, with your Raptor card
(and what I assume you used for capture?).
Rendering of a 4-minute video should take
(very roughly) about 25 minutes with your gear.
Switching codecs WILL slow things down a lot!
