Choose the end you use most...! ;-)
The 28-70 is excellent from 35-70, and OK at 28mm
(use f11-16 for best results at 28mm...).
The 28-105 is excellent from 28-50, so-so at
longer FL's - I couldn't like it very much (but
that is true for me for most zooms... ;-).
The 24-120 is more uniform throughout its range
(and it is really excellent at f11 - but that is
hardly "handy"). The 35-70 f2.8 is better at wide
stops, but there is not enough range. The 28-70 f2.8
is too big/expensive. The 28-85 is a decent compromise,
but I preferred the 28-70. A 28mm f2.8 *AIS*, any 50mm,
and any 85mm will run rings around any of the zooms...
