I've tried two that work fairly well, the cheap and
tiny, but good-sounding Sony ECM-Z157 (suffers from
wind-noise problems, though...), and the Stenheiser
MKE-300 (a little over budget, but...;-), which is
also good sounding, but with its bass roll-off and
good windscreen, it is also fairly insensitive to
wind. I've successfully used these in a
slightly-crossed pair for stereo, though the resulting
upper bass hump makes for a "thick" sound that needs
EQing when they are used this way...
