Zooms are particularly distance-sensitive for sharpness, so
test-chart results can be misleading (unless you usually
shoot at those close distance-settings...;-). Compare the
lenses with distant subjects for more reliable comparison of
sharpness for most shooting... (The 24-120 was not as good
around 5' as it was at infinity - and the 28-105 was
designed to permit reasonable close-focus performance,
somewhat skewing the evaluations if chart-testing is
done...)
