For architecture and landscape work, the Nikon F3 is unbeatable
(excellent, undistorted, sharp viewfinder; good metering for
this kind of work [especially with PC lenses]; durable; pleasant
and easy to use even under poor conditions; takes any of the vast
array of new and used Nikkors [see my Nikkor evaluation list, on
my web page under "I babble", to get an idea of the vastness of
the Nikkor lens pool...;-]).
Used, you can probably find one in your price range - and it
will even accept old, inexpensive "non-AI" Nikkors...
As for film, either Kodak or Fuji 100-speed slide films (or
100-400 speed color negative films) are excellent (film has
improved noticeably, but cameras..... [lotsa mostly gimmicky
features, except for flash improvements, but...;-]).
