Considering your primary photo interests, I would consider an F3 instead
(better viewfinder [sharper, with less distortion, and more accurate
framing], more versatile [a range of viewfinder and screen types are
available for the F3], has mirror lock-up, and it meters shifted PC
lenses accurately [PC's make great landscape lenses] - and my guess is
that most of your work will be done with the camera on a tripod, anyway).
I would choose lenses from among the best of the MF primes (more pleasant feel, more variety than AF primes, more are available used to choose from,
and the optical quality is generally higher than the average of the AF
zooms). The N90 is good for quick shooting, using AF and AE, and with
flash, but that doesn't sound like what you are into.... BTW, the F3 TTL
flash system is excellent for use with slow speed film (and even allows
TTL fill-ratios to be used [with accessories]) - its limitations occur
with fast film.
