These questions are silly.
Better: "Is the XYX camcorder, available now,
very good, and is it likely to remain one of
the best, even after replacement?"
BTW, many 3-chip cameras (Sony/Canon) have
about a 5-year model run-time, and the
replacements can be better, but not a LOT
better...;-) Buy and use, then trade later,
if need be - camcorders are "temporary
partners", not permanent investments...;-)
