Stills from the VX-1000 are easy and fairly good for 'net images (see some
on my web page, under "Changing Showz", "Bob's Baseball Game" - and
also the home-page photo) - just hook up a Snappy (see http://www.play.com )
to the parallel port, load the software, and a - w - a - y you go! ;-) It is easy,
and cheap (I can supply you with a used one, if you want...;-). With the
VX-1000 it is easy to go to the frame you want, then hold it steady for the
capture (at sizes up to 1125 x 1500 pixels). There is no need to have
captured the original image in still mode since capture from a stilled frame
of motion video works as well (and gives you a 30 fps motor drive camera
to work with! ;-) (BTW, this is for IBM-compatibles only...) As for motion
video capture, there are inexpensive capture boards appearing now - and
a few video cards for computer monitoring are available with video in and
out-puts (one is the ATI All-In-Wonder, made in Canada
[ http://www.atitech.ca ]...;-)
Hope This Helps
