Hmmmm.... If you are going for web-page quality only,
you can save a heck of a lot of money by buying a
decent used 8mm or VHS-C camcorder and inexpensive
low-res video capture card for the (low quality) web
video clips. (You are forced into low quality by web
image down-load times...). For stills, you can get
higher quality web images (down-load times are
relevant here too!!!) using any decent 35mm camera
and a bottom-end film scanner (and a bit of practice
optimizing the scanned images for web use...).
(BTW, if you would like to see samples of VX-1000
captures, the opening image on my web page, and
"Bob's Baseball Game" under "Changing Showz" were
captured with a Snappy - the rest of the photos
were captured from slides [except the 3-D images,
which are from negatives] using film scanners.)
