You can find a review of several mini-DV camcorders
(including the GL-1 and TRV-900) in an article
on my web page, under "I babble". Included are
frame-grabs shot with all under five different
conditions, and descriptions of the motion video,
and sound and noise characteristics. Bottom line:
I did not like the GL-1, have reservations about the
TRV-900, liked the VX-1000, and (with features
reservations) also liked the Panasonic AG-EZ30U.
But any of these (plus the XL-1) would serve well
enough for most any kind of work.
